Francesca Aspromonte 

Francesca Aspromonte - Euridice

Born in 1991, Francesca Aspromonte is rapidly establishing herself as one of the most interesting young sopranos for the baroque and classical repertoire. Recently she starred in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo (Musica, Speranza and Messaggiera) and Vespro della Beata Vergine with the Monteverdi Choir and John Eliot Gardiner on tour in the United States (New York-Carnegie Hall, San Francisco, Washington, Costa Mesa, Chapel Hill), at the BBC Proms in London and in Versailles. Under John Eliot Gardiner she also starred in a Monteverdi program at Wigmore Hall in London and in Versailles. Among her other recent engagements: the modern premiere of Cavalli’s L’Eritrea and Caldara’s Dafne (title role) in Venice under Stefano Montanari; “Amore Siciliano” at the Musikfest Bremen and at the Festival d’Ambronay with Cappella Mediterranea and Leonardo García Alarcón; Scarlatti’s La Giuditta (title role) at the Accademia Filarmonica Romana and Pasquini’s La Gloria di Primavera at the Konzerthaus in Vienna, both with Concerto Romano and Alessandro Quarta; L’isola disabitata by David Perez in Lisbon with Divino Sospiro; Stradella’s Santa Editta (concert and recording) with Andrea De Carlo and Ensemble Mare Nostrum at the Festival Stradella in Nepi; concerts and recording of Haydn’s Cantata “Solo et pensoso” with Il Giardino Armonico and Giovanni Antonini in Basel and at the Musikverein in Vienna. She participated in two editions of the Accademia Monteverdiana directed by Sir John Eliot Gardiner.

Plans include: “Amore Siciliano” with Cappella Mediterranea and Leonardo García Alarcón in Brugge; Cavalli’s Oristeo at the Théâtre National de la Criée in Marseille; Rossini’s Il Signor Bruschino (Sofia) at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice; Donizetti’s Requiem in St.Denis; Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater in Geneve with Geneva Camerata; Le nozze di Figaro (Barbarina) in Wroclaw under Giovanni Antonini; Cavalli’s Erismena (title role) at the Aix-en-Provence Festival; concerts in Bruneck and Utrecht with Les Musiciens du Louvre.

Luigi De Donato - Plutone/Augure

Awarded "The Best Bass Voice" prize at the F. P. Tosti International Competition, he regularly collaborates with the leading exponents of baroque repertoire. One of the most sought-after basses for the 17th century opera, he also interpreted some important pieces of the 20th century. He recently sang Serse (Ariodate) in Versailles with Jean-Christophe Spinosi and Agrippina (Claudio) in Beaune with Federico Maria Sardelli; Agrippina (Claudio) in Madrid, Brussels, Paris (TCE) with Eduardo Lopez-Banzo; Serse (Ariodante) in Dortmund again with Jean-Christophe Spinosi; L’Incoronazione di Poppea at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan under the baton of Rinaldo Alessandrini and Bob Wilson directing. He made his debut as Zoroastro in Handel’s Orlando with Jean-Christophe Spinosi on tour in France and sang Provenzale’s La Stellidaura vendicante at the Theater an der Wien under Alessandro De Marchi.

Plans include: it is worth mentioning the revival of L’ Incoronazione di Poppea at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan.

Renato Dolcini 

Renato Dolcini - Satiro

Born in Milano in 1985, he studied singing at Accademia del Teatro alla Scala and Civica Scuola di Musica Claudio Abbado and musicology at the Pavia University, where he graduated magna cum laude in 2012. He was admitted twice to the Gstaad Vocal Academy (2009, 2010) where he had the opportunity to specialize with Cecilia Bartoli. Since 2010 he has furthered his studies in the baroque repertoire with Roberta Invernizzi. He participated at the 2nd edition of the Accademia Monteverdiana directed by Sir John Eliot Gardiner . Among his appearances: Conte Robinson in Cimarosa’s Il matrimonio segreto (Teatro Bibiena, Mantua), Death in Holst’s Savitri (Teatro Dal Verme, Milan), Figaro in Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia (Teatro Ruggeri, Guastalla) and Don Alfonso in Mozart’s Così fan tutte (Opera de Tenerife, Spain). He earned praise from both critics and public for his interpretations in Cavalli’s L’Eritrea and Caldara’s Dafne, both in Teatro La Fenice in Venice , Stefano Montanari conducting. In 2014 he has been selected by William Christie for the 7th edition of Le Jardin des voix, touring with Les Arts Florissants in Europe, USA, Russia, Australia and Hong Kong. His discography includes: chamber duets by Agostino Steffani with Roberto Balconi and Ensemble Fantazyas (ALM Records) Stradella’s San Giovanni Crisostomo (title role) with Claudio Astronio and Harmonices Mundi (to be released for Brillants Classics).

Plans include: Johannes Passion with the Verdi Orchestra in Milan; Rinaldo (Argante) in Seoul; Handel’s Dixit Dominus in Pavia with Arion Choir & Consort then on tour in Italy; Ipermestra (Danao) at the Glyndebourne Festival Opera; series of baroque concerts with Les Arts Florissant and William Christie on tour in Asia.
